Transparent Pricing for Long-Term Growth
At WineFi, we believe in radical transparency. Many investment platforms quietly drain your returns with compounding annual management charges, performance cuts, and exit commissions.
We do things differently.
The WineFi Fee: 12.5% One-Off
When you invest in our syndicates or private portfolios, you pay a single, transparent administration fee of 12.5% on the purchase price.
What does this cover?
Sourcing & Acquisition: Leveraging our network to secure allocations below market retail value.
5 Years of Professional Storage: Housed in a government-approved bonded warehouse (Coterie Vaults).
5 Years of Full Insurance: Comprehensive cover at current market value.
Active Portfolio Management & Exit: Zero brokerage fees when we sell the wine on your behalf.
There are strictly no ongoing management fees, no subscription charges, and no performance-linked deductions. You retain full direct ownership of your wine at all times.
How Much is it Annually?
Fine wine is a property-like real asset, optimally held for the medium-to-long term (5 to 7 years). Because our fee is one-off, your annualised cost shrinks the longer you hold the asset:
5-Year Hold: Equates to just 2.5% per annum.
7-Year Hold: Equates to just 1.78% per annum.
(Note: If you choose to hold your wine beyond the initial 5 years, additional storage and insurance are charged exactly at cost - just £0.95 per bottle, per annum, which is simply deducted from your eventual sales proceeds. No out-of-pocket expenses).
How We Compare
Other platforms advertise lower upfront percentages, but their ongoing fees compound year after year, eating into your returns.
WineFi: 12.5% total (one-off).
Other Wine Investment Platforms: Charge a 2.25% to 2.85% annual management fee. Over a 5-year period, this compounds to 11.25% - 14.25%. Over 7 years, it increases to 15.75% - 19.95%, excluding potential early liquidation and listing fees.
Traditional Wine Merchants: Typically charge annual storage fees of approximately £15.00 per case AND take a 10% to 15% brokerage commission when you finally sell your wine. Crucially, merchants leave the complex portfolio management, market timing, and asset selection entirely up to you. With WineFi, we do all the heavy lifting, from data-driven asset selection to optimal exit execution.
With WineFi, your capital is unburdened by compounding fees, meaning more of your returns stay exactly where they belong: in your portfolio.
